Nadadora by Blanca Gomez

Blanca Gomez is an illustrator living in Madrid, Spain, known for her clean, colorful mid-century inspired style that captures quiet, human narratives. After studying Publicity in Milan and graphic design in Madrid, Blanca found herself constantly doodling on post-its at her design job. When her boss recognized her illustrative talent and encouraged her to pursue it, what began as a hobby flourished into a full-fledged career. She built her practice by sharing work online and receiving commissions through the internet. Blanca draws inspiration from French illustrator Sempé, Japanese comics, and mid-century design icons like Alexander Girard and Bruno Munari. While her work has been predominantly digital, she has recently been exploring watercolor, sculpture, and picture books.
