Heather McCaw Germany
Heather McCaw Kerley studied art at the Columbus College of Art and Design before earning degrees in literature and gender studies. She rediscovered her passion for painting when she took a continuing education class at the Corcoran College of Art in Washington, D.C. She is now a full-time artist living in Germany. She finds inspiration in ordinary things with fleeting qualities and signifiers of days past. In creating her detailed paintings, Heather has discovered that even the most insignificant object has personality and presence. She has exhibited her work in New York City and the Washington D.C. area and was a 2011 visiting artist at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Virginia. More recently, her work has been featured on The Jealous Curator, Design*Sponge, and Buy Some Damn Art.
