Cheryl Molnar New York
Cheryl Molnar is a collage artist living and working in Brooklyn, NY. Originally from Long Island, her work is inspired by both the urban and suburban landscapes seen in her everyday life. All of the work, wither it is a collage painting, photography project or instillation, investigates how man alters nature. She has had solo exhibitions at Smack Mellon, Brooklyn, NY; Joseph Gross Gallery, University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ; and McCaig-Welles Gallery, Brooklyn, NY. Her work has also been featured in group shows across the U.S. including the Islip Art Museum, Islip, NY and White Walls Gallery, San Francisco. Being an artist inspired nature, residencies are an important part of her process. These include; The Cooper Union, NY; Weir Farm, CT; Smack Mellon, Brooklyn; and Wave Hill, NY. Molnar earned an MFA from Pratt Institute and a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design.
