Michelle Morin Maine

Michelle Morin lives and works in southern Maine. She studied painting and art history at Massachusetts College of Art. Through her work, she seeks out a balance within the complex and mesmerizing layers in nature, honing in on shape, line, and color. She is drawn to the close up wild-tangle contrasted by the softer patterns of distant perspectives in the natural world. Her paintings range from elaborate watercolor and gouache compositions on paper to vast and more layered paintings on panel.

Over the last 15 years Michelle has collaborated with many companies including H&M, Anthropologie, NIKE, Yves Saint Laurent, Land of Nod, Chronicle Books, and Vilshenko to name a few.
