Danielle Winger Indiana

Danielle Winger was born in Reno, Nevada and spent her early life moving throughout the United States. Her childhood included summers in the same national park in Northern California. Her love of mountains grew deeper during later years living in the Smoky Mountains. Danielle is an avid hiker and backpacker, finding respite in her close proximity to nature. Her paintings regularly reference these places in sentimental and nostalgic ways, seeing the world through the eyes of a child- large and unknown and ripe for adventure. Danielle lives with her husband and homeschools their three young children in a log cabin on 11 acres, surrounded by woods, water and wildlife. Her home provides endless inspiration, as do her children who offer a constant source of exploration and investigation.

Danielle received her Bachelor of Science in Textiles, Merchandising and Apparel Design from Middle Tennessee State University and an MFA in Painting from East Tennessee State University. She is represented by Red Arrow Gallery in Nashville, Visions West Contemporary in Denver and Bozeman, and Otomys in Melbourne, Australia. Danielle belongs to a number of national and international collections, including private collections throughout the U.S., England, Australia, New Finland, Germany, Canada, Scotland and Austria. She recently exhibited at Spring Break in New York City, Galerie COA in Montreal, and has upcoming solo exhibitions with Seizan Gallery in Tokyo and Visions West Contemporary in Denver in 2024. Select publications include Art Maze Magazine and Beautiful Bizarre Magazine. She currently teaches at Community School of the Arts and the Honeywell Center in Indiana.
