Sebastian Foster began in 2009 after Lad, the founder and owner, returned to Austin, his home, from Afghanistan. Years later, Sebastian Foster has developed a strong roster of emerging and established artists. The artists represented reflect a broad range of ideas and style. Sebastian Foster works with artists all over the U.S. and beyond.

Lad has remained the owner-operator over the years and handles everything from customer emails and art curation to print making and website design. While there are an unimaginable number of variations in online art businesses today, Sebastian Foster remained small and focused on the idea that an art business is still the sum of its artists and their work. The focus here is timeless, provide value to artists and offer a well curated collection to the audience.

Sebastian Foster is located in central east Austin. However, with in-person retail closed through the pandemic, the Sebastian Foster website is the primary venue for purchasing art and prints from the studio. The studio ships website orders from New York to Los Angeles and Berlin to Sydney every week.
